At their meeting on 16th May 2019, Harewood Parish Councillors learned of the vision of members of Wigton Moor Church to expand their facilities in order to support a wider range of services to support the local community. As the church offers the only provision in Wigton Moor supporting community activities, Council members enthusiastically backed the project and made a grant of £5000 towards initial building work. In the first instance, Wigton Moor Church is aiming to raise £73,000 in order to build a kitchen and improved toilets which are badly needed in order to help it support activities which benefit the community
