The Parish Council has repaired the iconic former telephone box located at the centre of Harewood village next to the Harewood Arms and the Church of England Primary School. The box now serves as a location for a defibrillator but some months ago the door was removed and stolen. Concerned to maintain and protect the location of the defibrillator and to conserve the character of the village, the Council resolved to replace the door and this has just been completed.

Local resident Bob Hill adds the finishing touches to the paintwork of the restored phone box.

Local resident, Bob Hill, deftly applies the finishing touches to the repainting of the phone box on the 19th September 2019. The replacement door now restores the box to its proper condition and measures are in place to protect the door from further theft and vandalism.
