Council discussions are currently focussed on two outline projects aimed at improving amenities in the parish.
- The creation of an extensive area for recreation and leisure on the north side of the footpath adjacent to the Harewood Arms Hotel. Further details.
- Improvements at Harewood Cemetery to offer better amenities for visitors. We are looking at the possible provision of a shelter (replacing the existing old boiler house). This would give visitors a space, sheltered from the weather, to be able sit and reflect. We are also seeking to enhance provision for the mounting of memorial plaques commemorating people whose ashes are interred and who may not have a headstone.
