Harewood Parish Council is very conscious of the many offers of help that are being offered to local elderly and vulnerable people to help them cope with the present situation. We would wish to encourage this and thank those offering their time to help those who are in difficulty at this present time. There are however some risks and it is important that those needing help are not exposed to anyone who might seek to exploit an opportunity to meet concerned people in their homes.
Our local Leeds Councillors have advised us of a scheme which all those seeking to volunteer should use in order to become involved and serve those in need in our community.
