Cemetery Fees

Listed below is a summary of the fees and charges for Harewood Cemetery. A fee rise of 5% for 2026 – 2027 for non-residents was approved at the Council Meeting on 8th January 2026. These fees will take effect from the 1st April 2026. Fees for Harewood Parish residents were not increased. Following a review of the rate at which cemetery space is being used, Councillors at their meeting on the 19th February 2026 decided that from the 1st April 2026, plots of any size would no longer be available for non residents to purchase. 

Fees and charges are set at two rates. The fees in the first column apply to persons resident in the Parish of Harewood and the second column lists fees for all other persons. The non resident fees for using previously purchased plots will be charged once a person has resided outside the parish council area for more than five years. The figures shown in black are the fees that are applicable until 1st April 2026. The figures in blue are those that will apply from that date.

The cost of digging graves and subsequently reinstating the dug grave is an additional charge to any of the above and is the responsibility of the undertaker.
