Safer Roads – Media Submissions

The West Yorkshire Police have launched a new system where the force will receive dash cam footage and other forms of digital media from members of the public of where a suspected offence relating to road safety has taken place.

Given the concern that many local residents in Harewood have concerning road safety, this new service offers a way of reporting infringements of the law. These can include vehicles not obeying traffic lights.

Dash cam or other media footage can be reported to West Yorkshire Police Safer Road Submissions.

This portal can only be used for driving offences, it is not for submitting footage of Road Traffic Collisions or public order offences, and is not for reporting crime. The portal cannot be used for reporting parking on yellow lines. Responsibility for enforcing parking regulations lies with Leeds City Council.

Flower tubs in Bondgate

The three flower tubs in Bondgate, Harewood, have been brought back to life for the season in 2020. Thanks to the very kind voluntary work of local resident Caroline Dale the tubs have been coated with preservative and replanted with a mixture of Alpine and perennial plants which will bloom throughout the summer.

Harwwood Parish Council has funded the materials but all the hard work has been done by Caroline making a kind contribution that has enhanced the village environment.
