Alwoodley Park and Ride scheme shelved
The ambitious project to create an extensive Park and Ride scheme in Alwoodley opposite the entrance to Leeds Grammar School has been shelved. It did not make the final list of Leeds City Council projects for the £170m list to be financed by a grant from the government. For the foreseeable future, it is not happening.
It would seem inevitable that the use of the limited parking in Harewood village will be increasingly in demand with people working in Leeds using the 36 bus for access to the city centre.
